ASPEN'S FIELD TRIP
ASPEN’S FIELD TRIP 2017
Aspen’s Educational Field Trip to Nehru Zoological Park ( Zoo) It was a cold morning on 24th November, but not enough to curb the enthusiasm of the little ones of Aspen Montessori House. They were all excited and could not wait to board the van to visit the Zoological Gardens. The children were shooting all sorts of questions to us to know what is in store for them when they reach the Zoo. We must say that their inquisitiveness reminded our good old days of childhood. We reached around 9.40 am and students were all ready to explore. We took a train ride to observe the animals and birds. We were fortunate enough to see many animals. Ostrich, Emus, dancing Peafowls, Turtle, White Tiger, Elephants, Antelopes, Spotted Deer, Giraffe, Colourful Parrots, White Parrots, Black Buck, Jaguars were the animals that we could spot. Children got an opportunity to see a huge trained Elephant very closely. Lots of “oohs” and “aahs” as we walked along the enclosures. The children were in awe seeing the giraffe -the tall lanky animal! They enjoyed going through the tunnel during their train ride. Children wanted to explore more but time was a constraint and we had to take a break for snacks. Post snacks we took a stroll to see the carnivores once more closely. It was 12 noon when we started heading back to school and we reached by 12.45 pm. Children were all tired and some of them had a nap in the van. Some children were still discussing and sharing the information that they had gathered with us and their friends. On the whole it was an amazing experience for all of us. We look forward to take our kids for more and more educational trips like this.
