Independence Day & Rakhi

Saare Jahaan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara!!

This year as Rakshabandhan falls on August 15th, Aspen celebrated ‘Independence day’ and ‘Raakhi’ on 14th of August to signify both the festivals!! There was a wave of patriotism and pyar ka bandhan in the airs of Aspen with tricolor decorations. Children came in white attire reflecting peace, love and truth.
The story of Independence Day was very well narrated. Worth seeing was our Aspenites brimming with pride and high Josh, saying aloud our hallmark slogan ‘Vandemataram’ and ‘Go Back Britishers Go Back’. Children were shown National symbols of India and the significance of each color in Tricolor was highlighted. The songs further augmented the patriotic fervor in the environment.. Independence day celebrations were followed by Rakshabandhan celebrations. Little ones enjoyed making raakhis. Our pretty girls performed the ritual of tieing raakhis to our cutie boys. The day was celebrated with unstinted tributes to our national leaders and unstinted love amongst the children. Raakhi and Book mark with tricolors were given as take aways.. .
